An effective Spark detection system must monitor all potential paths of a spark or ember through all
branches of ducts and once a spark or ember is detected, it must establish a curtain of water through which the spark must pass. Each main duct system
is considered a protection zone. If your dust collector has a single main duct, then only one zone is required. The air in the ducts is travelling at
a very great rate of speed and therefore carries a spark or ember very rapidly.
The Spark Eliminator is suited for welding, grinding, plasma cutting and laser cutting applications and
can be retro-fitted to existing dust collection systems. It can fit any duct run and does not require additional dust collection point return.
Much like Explosion Vents, the Interceptor®-QR® is a passive Explosion Protection technology that
mitigates the effects of a dust deflagration by allowing the hot gases and burning material to safely escape the vessel being protected. However,
unlike Explosion Vents that simply relieve to atmosphere, the Interceptor®-QR® has a built in quenching chamber that traps the dust emitted
from a deflagration and absorbs the heat from the flame and burning gases. The Stainless Steel Mesh that comprises this chamber then acts as a heat
sink to quench the temperature and break the chain reaction, effectively interrupting the explosion in mid-stream. The dust and flame retention
capability of the Interceptor®-QR® make it ideal for indoor Explosion Venting applications. With a simple installation, easy refurbishment,
and process friendliness, the Interceptor®-QR® is a superior Explosion Mitigation technology.
Precision Dust Collection Systems offers the Stat-X family of fire suppression systems that are NFPA 2010
compliant, green and based on a revolutionary, condensed aerosol fire suppressant agent composed of ultra-fine particles and inert gas. Un-pressurized
until activated, the Stat-X patented aerosol formingcompoundproduces large quantities of tiny, buoyant 1-2 micron sized condensed particles
indiscernible to the naked eye. The aerosol quickly suppresses fire by chemically interfering with the free radicals of flame and is easily vented
after application.
