For use in most any type of hot gas treatment the KS & KU coolers handles temperatures up to 590C (1,100F)

Hot process gases are often generated in combustion processes or in the processing of melted metals, especially in melting of ferrous, nonferrous and aluminum. Before the hot gas can be filtered it has to be cooled down in coolers/heat exchangers. The heat can be recycled to save energy.

The cooling air must be preheated if there is any risk of the temperature on the cooling elements dropping below the acid dew point when cooling hot process gases. Nederman has consequently developed the cassette-type KU cooler specifically for cooling such gases.
